Skye Primary School has been serving the local community since 1873. From humble beginnings providing education for 26 students the school has now grown to over 500 students.
Skye Primary School is set in spacious grounds in a semi-rural setting. There is ample playing space to keep all our students happy. Our architecturally designed buildings are air conditioned and provide modern facilities necessary to provide the optimum learning environment for our students. We have a large hall that is used for Physical Education lessons, assemblies and special events. Skye Primary also has Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Science rooms and a variety of spaces where students participate in support and extension programs.
At Skye Primary School, we recognise and acknowledge that parents are a child's first teacher. Parents provide the foundation on which the child's education is built. A supportive attitude to your child's schooling will have a positive impact on your child's behaviour and their motivation to learn.
Nurturing and educating children is seen as a shared responsibility between home and school. This is achieved through effective communication, parent\teacher interviews, newsletters, parent involvement in classroom activities, excursions, PTF and our School Council.
Skye Primary School strives to cater for the development of each individual, placing high value on the achievement of self-worth, self-confidence and a caring attitude towards other people and the environment. We aim for our students to become life long learners who are encouraged to strive for excellence.
At Skye Primary School our vision for the future is to build a community of effective life-long learners who are informed, motivated and productive members of the local and global community. Our students will be supported and challenged to achieve full potential enabling them to develop self confidence, resilience and respect for all.
We hope that you can take the time to learn about our dynamic school and take the opportunity to visit us soon.
